Lifetime Achievement Award in Surveying and Mapping

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • A living Indian Citizen
  • An experience record of 15-20 years in the fields of surveying and mapping.
  • Management-level position(s) held and responsibilities shouldered.
  • Evidence of how he/she has demonstrated a lifetime, career-length performance record of multiple quality achievements in this field.

    Their dedication can be evidenced through
  • Whose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the technology and application
  • Who inspired others through their leadership and example
  • Initiative and leadership in promoting geospatial awareness or pursuing groundbreaking research, or developing a technology or innovation.
  • Whose accomplishment has been acknowledged by academia, professionals, industry and the general public
  • Whose work has stood the test of time having created lasting impact on social conditions.

Lifetime Achievement Award in Spatial Technologies

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • An experience record of 15-20 years in any of the fields like photogrammetry, remote sensing, earth observation or geospatial technologies.
  • Management-level position(s) held and responsibilities shouldered.
  • Evidence of how he/she has demonstrated a lifetime, career-length performance record of multiple quality achievements in this field.

    Their dedication can be evidenced through
  • Whose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the technology and application
  • Who inspired others through their leadership and example
  • Initiative and leadership in promoting geospatial awareness or pursuing groundbreaking research, or developing a technology or innovation.
  • Whose accomplishment has been acknowledged by academia, professionals, industry and the general public
  • Whose work has stood the test of time having created lasting impact on social conditions.

State of the Year Award
 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • State Government policies to promote geospatial applications
  • Allocation and disbursement of funds for geospatial projects
  • Infrastructure support provided
  • Width and depth of the applications
  • Criticality of applications
  • Magnitude of overall benefit to the general public residing in the state
  • Level of integration between various department/ bodies of the state government
  • Adherence to geospatial technology norms
  • Timely implementation of projects – At least some part of the program should have been
    operational in the year FY2008-09
  • Change management from the legacy system

Company of the Year Award
 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Achievement of strong corporate performance in terms of revenue, profits and expansion.
  • The company has made significant contribution to the industry in 2008-09
  • Diversity of products and services provided

  • Efforts in developing new market segments and applications
  • Thrust on innovation in technology and business methods
  • Intellectual property assets, awards and citations
  • Fair business practices - Corporate governance and employee practices
  • Employment generation in India
  • Social responsibility
  • Contribution to enhance the overall image and growth of geospatial industry in India

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Nominee for this award must be an Indian citizen
  • The candidate must be in continued leadership of a registered geospatial business in India
  • The nominee has taken direct responsibility for turning an idea into a profitable finished product through assertive risk-taking and innovation
  • Overall achievement of strong corporate performance in terms of revenue, profits and expansion
  • Creative business initiatives taken by the nominee and the size and attractiveness of market (s) targeted
  • International partners and links to global markets
  • Intellectual property position and strategy
  • Employment generation in India
  • Adherence to ethical business and employee practice
  • Social responsibility
  • Difference made in the industry in the whole process of business development.

Excellence in Geospatial Usage Award

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Nominees for this award could be from government (Central/State/Local) and non government organizations (companies/NGOs/ others).
  • Only those nominees are eligible who have made efficient use of geospatial technology in FY 2008-09.
  • The overall size and impact of application/project – the impact should have made a sizable difference
  • Width and depth of the applications
  • Criticality of applications
  • Infrastructure support provided
  • Level of integration between various department/bodies of the organization
  • Adherence to geospatial technology norms
  • Timely implementation of projects – At least some part of the project should have been
    operational in the year FY2008-09

Solution of the Year Award

  • The solution should have been launched in India in FY 2008-09
  • Innovation in concept and planning
  • Impact and benefits of the solution
