Professor VS Ramamurthy is the Homi Bhabha chair professor at Inter-university accelerator center, New Delhi. Concurrently, he is also chairman, board of Governors, IIT Delhi and chairman of Recruitment & Assessment Board Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi. He is also the chairman of Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Applications International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna and Former Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. His major professional interests include nuclear physics research and accelerator applications, S&T education and research promotion, knowledge management and S&T popularisation. |

Dr. Ranganath R. Navalgund, Distinguished Scientist, is the Director of Space Applications Centre (SAC), Indian Space Research Organisation, Ahmedabad since July 2005. Earlier, he had worked as the director of National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, and with Space Applications Centre in the area of remote sensing applications programmes in different capacities. He was the President, Technical Commission–VII on Resources and Environmental Monitoring of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing for the period 2000-2004. He represents India on the Group on Earth Observations, an international initiative.
Dr. Navalgund holds a postgraduate degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and Ph.D. in Physics from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India. Dr. R.R. Navalgund. has played an important role in the formulation and execution of most of the major remote sensing application programmes undertaken in the country right from the experimental Bhaskara satellite mission in 1979 to the operational IRS series of satellites. Dr. Navalgund has received numerous awards including ASI Award – 1996 by the Astronautical Society of India, Bangalore, Indian National Remote Sensing Award –1992 instituted by the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Dehradun and Prof. K. R. Ramanathan Memorial Lecture Gold Medal – 2002 instituted by the Indian Geophysical Union. |

Maj.Gen. (Dr.) R. Siva Kumar is the CEO of NSDI, division of Department of Science & Technology. He served in Army HQ as Director Military Survey. He was awarded Dolezal Prize of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) at the congress Held in Vienna, Austria in 1996. He is also a recipient of Tat Scholarship and the Netherlands Government Fellowship. He is a fellow of Institution of Engineers and Institution of Surveyors besides being a senior member of Computer Society of India, INCA and IME. He is a graduate in production engineering and holds a post graduate diploma in computer methods and programming. |

Dr. Mukund K Rao is President and CEO of ESRI India. He had earlier worked with ISRO as the Deputy Director (Technology & Systems), Earth Observations System Programme Office in ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore. He was also involved in the Systems and Technology assessment / coordination for the Indian EO programme and is working for the development of a 25 year strategy for the Indian EO and also for repositioning National Natural Resources Management System (NNRMS). He holds a Master in Science (Geology) degree from Gujarat University and Master in Philosophy in Remote Sensing. He is a recipient of the Hari-Om Ashrams Vikram Sarabhai Young Scientists Award for 2002. |

Brig R C Padhi is the Deputy Director General Military Survey in the Integrated headquarters of MoD(Army). He is responsible for the formulation, implementation of Map policy, aerial photography policy and security vetting of maps, geospatial and geophysical data, aerial photography and satellite data. He holds a masters degree in survey engineering and has specialised in Cartography, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, GIS and allied fields of allied sciences. He is a life member of Indian Society of Geometics, Indian National Cartographic Association, Institution of Military Engineers and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers and Institution of Surveyors. |
